Abstract oil painting by American artist Sidney Gross.


About the Artist: Sidney Gross (1921–1969) was born in New York and studied at the Art Students League, where he later became an instructor. He also taught at the University of Maryland and Columbia University. His early work drew from social realism and the emerging surrealist movement, and by his twenties he was known for painting distinctively urban subjects.
