Artist Bio:
Craig Knight is a contemporary (1946) American-born, British-based painter whose work blends Neo-Pop, figurative painting, comics, graffiti, street art, and Pop Art influences. Born in Evansville, Indiana in 1964, he moved to England as a child and studied Fine Art at Hull College of Higher Education and Sheffield Hallam University. A longtime art educator, Knight creates layered, energetic paintings that explore identity, memory, social relationships, and the construction of the self through crowded imagery and pop-culture references. His media include oil, acrylic, watercolor, spray paint, and marker.
