About the Artist: Barbara Latham (1896–1989) was a painter, printmaker, and children’s book illustrator associated with Taos, New Mexico. Trained at Pratt Institute and the Art Students League, she is known for depictions of the Taos landscape and rural life. Her work is held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Library of Congress.
