Aina Nergaard-Nammack “Yellow Field”
Acrylic on canvas
Signed and numbered by artist
20 x 20
A beautifully restrained abstract landscape by Aina Nergaard, balancing bold color with a quiet sense of calm. The saturated yellow field and simplified barn silhouette give the piece a modern, almost meditative presence, while the layered blues and violets add depth and atmosphere. A strong statement piece that still feels peaceful and easy to live with.
About the Artist:
Aina Nergaard-Nammack (1930–2026) was a Spanish-born abstract painter known for her vibrant, intuitive compositions and lifelong dedication to color, balance, and movement. Born into a family with a long artistic tradition among the women, she moved to the United States with her husband in the late 1950s and later lived and worked in Alexandria, Virginia before settling in Lewes, Delaware. A highly prolific artist throughout her long career, Aina created bold abstract works in which form and color remain carefully in equilibrium. Relying heavily on intuition, she sought to capture the emotional feeling of a scene rather than strict realism, repeatedly refining her compositions in an effort to “avoid chaos” and achieve the simple yet strong visual impact that defines her work.
