Artist Bio:
Al Rossi (1927–2004) began his artistic journey after serving in World War II, studying at Pratt Institute and the Art Students League of New York. He built a multifaceted career as both an illustrator and designer—creating pulp fiction covers and toy concepts for Ideal and Matchbox— before dedicating his later years to fine art. His oil and watercolor works often reflect a deep structural sensitivity and serene observation of the world around him, particularly in the landscapes he painted after relocating to Central Virginia.
