During World War II, she served as an artist in the U.S. Navy. Her work was featured in numerous solo exhibitions, including shows at Charlottesville's McGuffey Art Center and Second Street Gallery, the Foundry Gallery in Washington, D.C., the Roanoke Museum of Fine Arts, and Tidewater Community College.
