He exhibited alongside leading European modernists, participated in the landmark *Abstract Art in America* exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art, and was represented by the influential Betty Parsons Gallery. A Fulbright Fellow and longtime educator, Lazzari taught at The American University, the Corcoran School of Art, and Gallaudet College.
